Poland Issued EU's Third-most Residence Permits in 2025

Poland issued 467,314 first residence permits to immigrants from outside the EU in 2025, the third-highest figure in the bloc. The data, released by the European statistics agency, showed that Germany and Spain led the ranking, with Poland following closely behind. The permits were primarily granted for work purposes, reflecting Poland's strong labor demand. The country's share of the EU total stood at 12.4 percent, up from 11.8 percent a year earlier.
