After Swimming for a While, the Two Children Were Caught in a Strong Current

Two children went missing after being swept away by the current while swimming in the Ceyhan River in Adana, Turkey. The incident occurred in the Yakapınar neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. According to reports, S.R. (12) and S.S. (10), both of Syrian nationality, entered the river to cool off.

After swimming for a while, the two children were caught in a strong current and disappeared. Witnesses who saw the children being swept away alerted the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, gendarmerie underwater teams were dispatched to the area.
