🇨🇳 ChinaLo Ting-wei of the Chinese Nationalist Party Said the Amendments Had Passed Initial Review, With Some Provisions Reserved for Cross-caucus

Committee co-convener Lo Ting-wei of the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) said the amendments had passed initial review, with some provisions reserved for cross-caucus negotiation. Proposals by legislators on the committee to introduce a clear ban on the use of beta-agonists in school meals were reserved for further discussion. At the suggestion of Democratic Progressive Party Legislator Rosalia Wu, Lo forwarded the agreed provisions of the amendment to the floor for further legislative action. The committee's approval marks a step forward in updating school health policies, though final passage still requires full Legislative Yuan approval.
