Venomous Snake Found Inside Player's Helmet at Arkansas High School Practice in Australia

The player had worn the helmet for more than an hour before feeling unusual movement inside his headgear following warm-ups. He brought the helmet to an assistant coach for inspection, and a slithering 2-foot (61cm) cottonmouth was discovered behind some padding. Police officers poured water into the helmet to force the snake out and into a bag, before animal services technicians took the cottonmouth to a wooded area far from the school. The incident occurred at Maumelle High School in Central Arkansas.
