Denmark to Transfer Undocumented Migrants to Eu-external Return Centers Next Year

The Ministry of Immigration and Integration said in a press release that work on establishing the centers has now entered its decisive phase. On September 4, Immigration and Integration Minister Morten Bødskov will meet with his counterparts from the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and Greece to discuss how the centers should be established. The meeting follows months of cooperation within a five-country group that has been working to build broader support for the project across the EU.

The next step is to establish return centers outside the EU. The ministry stated that the work on establishing return centers in countries outside the EU has now entered its decisive phase.
