Ankara Has Been Realized, With the Tender for a Rail System Line Between Pursaklar and Esenboğa Airport Going to a Familiar Company

The 54 billion 411 million lira tender was awarded through a negotiated procedure to the Fernas-Tekfen İnşaat partnership. The company belongs to the family of AKP Batman Deputy Ferhat Nasıroğlu. In February, the same company had won the Aksaray-Ulukışla-Yenice road tender for 49 billion 978 million lira.

Ferhat Nasıroğlu, one of the founders of Fernas, was elected as an AKP deputy from Batman in the May 2023 elections and entered parliament. In July 2023, he left his duties at the company and handed management over to his family. Nezir Nasıroğlu from the same family had been elected as a CHP deputy from Batman in the 2002 elections and joined the AKP in 2003. The total value of tenders Fernas has won together with its partners since 2011 has exceeded 170 billion lira.

Of these tenders, a portion worth 110 billion lira was won this year alone. Fernas had also come to the agenda in October 2024 due to protests by workers at its mining operations. Workers marched to Ankara for their dismissed colleagues and received their rights after 53 days.
