Istanbul's Esenler District Caused a Crash That Killed Its Driver and Injured Five

The accident occurred at the Yeni Hal Yolu Atışalanı junction in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood. The minibus, driven by Özcan Çakır, was cutting between lanes when it struck two cars traveling in the same direction, one driven by Bayram A. and the other by Muhammet K. The minibus then veered out of control, hit barriers, and overturned. Police, medical, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported.

Çakır died at the scene. The other drivers, Bayram A. and Muhammet K., along with passengers Furkan A., Harun K., and Miraç A., were injured and taken to hospitals by ambulance after receiving initial treatment at the scene. Çakır's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following an examination at the site. Traffic congestion caused by the accident cleared after the vehicles were removed.
