Qantas Reverses Decision, Will Replace Wheelchair Broken Beyond Repair
Qantas has reversed its earlier decision and now plans to replace an expensive powered wheelchair that was damaged beyond repair during a flight.
The airline initially declined to cover the cost of the wheelchair, which was broken during handling. After public pressure and a review of the incident, Qantas confirmed it will provide a replacement. The wheelchair belonged to a passenger with a disability, and the airline apologized for the distress caused.
