"If they had referred me there [to Ankara], they could have easily understood that there was an infection, Aydın said. "What happened happened to my eye. Following the negligence claim, the hospital issued a statement alleging that Aydın did not comply with hygiene rules during his treatment.

They shared footage from his first-day follow-up visit. "As you can see, he wipes his forehead, nose, and face with a tissue in his hand and presses and rubs his operated eye, a hospital official said. "We believe this incident occurred due to his careless behavior. Aydın has filed a criminal complaint over the incident.
