Disney+ Will Become the Global Streaming Home of the ABB FIA Formula e World Championship, Starting With the 2026/27 Season

The platform will carry official race events in more than 140 territories worldwide, while U.S. viewers will also be able to watch on ESPN+. The deal allows the electric racing league to keep local broadcast TV agreements in certain markets, according to Variety. The season is set to feature 21 rounds across 13 racing events, beginning December 18 in Saudi Arabia.
Other stops on the calendar include Miami, Monaco and Mexico City. Formula E, which uses electric vehicles and has been running since 2014, has grown in popularity over the years. Roku has been the primary streaming home for the series and even produced a documentary about it, but that partnership now appears to be ending. Formula E's approach contrasts with Formula 1, which recently ended its collaboration with Disney's ESPN and signed with Apple for official U.S. broadcasting rights.
