Sofyan Amrabat's Future Has Taken a New Turn After Real Betis Decided to Prioritize a Striker Signing Over His Transfer

The Spanish club has temporarily halted talks for the 29-year-old Moroccan, who spent last season on loan at Betis, according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito TV. Betis management reportedly informed that completing Amrabat's transfer in the short term is difficult under current conditions. The door is not completely closed, however.
Betis could revisit the move for Amrabat depending on the budget available after finalizing a forward signing, meaning the process is expected to continue into the later days of the transfer window. Amrabat has since returned to Istanbul, completed his medical checks, and joined Fenerbahçe's training sessions at the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities. The experienced midfielder, who is under contract with the yellow-navy club until 2028, is continuing his preseason preparations with Fenerbahçe.
Olympiacos is also reported to be interested in Amrabat. Any offers will be evaluated by Fenerbahçe's management, with the player's fate expected to become clearer toward the end of the transfer period.
