Prosecutors on Tuesday Sought a 10 Million Won ($7,400) Fine for a Woman in Her 40S Accused of Stalking South Korean Actor Hwang Jung-min

The request came during a sentencing hearing at the Uijeongbu District Court's Goyang branch, presided over by Judge Kim Young-ah. The woman, identified only as Ms. A, was indicted without detention on charges of violating the Stalking Punishment Act. Prosecutors cited the lengthy period of the alleged offense, the excessive number of contacts, threatening messages posted on social media, and the victim's plea for severe punishment as grounds for the fine.
