🇮🇱 IsraelUnited Nations Has Warned That Israeli Attacks in the Gaza Strip Continue to Endanger the Lives of Civilians, With the UN Deputy Spokesman

Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, addressed the latest situation in Gaza during a daily press briefing. Without naming Israel directly, he stressed that the attacks are seriously endangering the lives of Palestinians living in the area. "The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warns that military operations in Gaza continue to endanger Palestinians and increase humanitarian needs, Haq said.
Haq noted that security forces have recorded many such incidents since Friday, with reports indicating civilians have lost their lives in many of them. Separately, Haq said humanitarian teams working to eliminate explosive hazards in Gaza have detected and marked more than 1,000 explosive munitions since the conflict began in October 2023. He explained that detecting these munitions is particularly important for debris removal and infrastructure work. "Humanitarian partners emphasize that a wider range of essential materials and specialized equipment must be allowed into Gaza to expand these life-saving services and reduce the risks facing civilians, Haq stated.
The UN reiterated its call for greater access to facilitate humanitarian operations in the enclave. The warning comes as international concern grows over the humanitarian situation in Gaza amid ongoing hostilities.
