Communications Director Burhanettin Duran issued a message on the 111th anniversary of the Anafartalar Victory, praising the determination, courage and sacrifice displayed at Anafartalar as a testament to the nation's unity and devotion to its homeland. In a statement shared on his social media account, Duran said the nation proudly commemorates the 111th anniversary of the Anafartalar Victory, which holds a distinguished place in the country's struggle for independence and freedom. Duran emphasized that the unique struggle at Çanakkale stands as one of the strongest signs of the nation's unwavering commitment to its homeland and independence.

"The determination, courage and sacrifice displayed at Anafartalar showed the whole world how our nation came together in difficult conditions and what it can risk for its homeland, Duran said. "This high spirit of struggle inspires us today just as it has throughout our history. On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our homeland, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Hero of Anafartalar, and remember our heroic veterans with gratitude, he added.
