Winning Tips Will Appear in Travel Section

The Guardian is asking readers to share tips on their favourite lesser-known European islands, from remote Scandinavian archipelagos to airport-free Mediterranean outposts that have avoided package holiday crowds. The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, wins a £200 voucher towards a stay at a Coolstays property, which has more than 3,000 options worldwide. Winning tips will appear in the Guardian Travel section and website.

Entrants must be UK residents and aged 18 or over; the competition closes on Monday 17 August at 10am BST. Photos are welcome but only written tips will be judged. For more information, see the terms of service and privacy policy.
