Portugal: ANAC Certifies Viana Do Castelo Heliport for Round-the-clock Medical Emergencies

The heliport at Hospital de Santa Luzia in Viana do Castelo has been certified by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) to respond to medical emergencies and other aerial operations, it was announced on Monday. According to a source from ULSAM, the heliport becomes the eighth of 41 existing in the country to be certified by ANAC. It now has an authorized infrastructure for permanent, 24-hour medical emergency operations, the source said.
