Türkiye: the Victim, İslim Yaprak, Was Taken to Bozova State Hospital by Neighbors After Being Found Covered in Blood

A man in southeastern Turkey has been arrested for allegedly beating his 85-year-old mother with a stick and his fists, leaving her in critical condition. The incident occurred in the garden of the family home in Türkmenören neighborhood, Bozova district, Şanlıurfa province. The victim, İslim Yaprak, was taken to Bozova State Hospital by neighbors after being found covered in blood.

Her son, İbrahim Yaprak, who had returned to Turkey just 10 days ago after serving about 15 years in prison in Switzerland for strangling his wife, was detained by gendarmerie forces. Following procedures at the Bozova District Gendarmerie Command, he was referred to court and subsequently arrested and sent to prison.
