When Deputies Arrived, They Found the Man Inside the Home and Took Him Into Custody Without Incident
A man was arrested on suspicion of burglarizing one of Kim Kardashian's Los Angeles homes and attempting to drive away in one of her cars, authorities said. Deputies were called to Kardashian's residence in Hidden Hills, an upscale gated community in Los Angeles, just before 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times. The suspect, who was not publicly named, was seen loading some of Kardashian's belongings into a vehicle on the property before trying to leave in one of her cars, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Tracy Koerner.
When deputies arrived, they found the man inside the home and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into LA County Jail on suspicion of burglary. No one was home at the time; Kardashian and her children are living elsewhere while the property undergoes renovations, though some of her cars remained there.
It was not immediately clear what else the burglar attempted to steal. Kardashian and her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West, bought the 15,667-square-foot home in 2014. The eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom property includes a home theater, game room with a wet bar, a library and a gym. Kardashian owns several adjacent properties in the community.
