A small boat carrying 230 people crossed the English Channel on Saturday, setting a new record for the largest number of migrants on a single vessel.
The boat arrived in the UK on Saturday, when a total of 258 migrants made the crossing on four boats. This breaks the previous record from July, when 165 people made the crossing on a single boat.
