Guillaume Canet Returns As Franck Lazareff in Netflix's Ad Vitam Sequel

Netflix has begun production on a sequel to its 2025 French action thriller "Ad Vitam, with star Guillaume Canet returning. The follow-up, working title "Ad Vitam Eternam" (Latin for "to eternal life), sees Canet reprise his role as Franck Lazareff, a former operator for the GIGN, the elite tactical unit of the French National Gendarmerie. Additional plot details and a release date have not been announced.

The original film, directed by Rodolphe Lauga, followed a former GIGN operative whose pregnant wife is kidnapped, forcing him to confront his past. Netflix has not yet confirmed a director for the sequel.
