🇫🇷 FranceFrance: Creators Face Backlash Over Meta's 'Pervert Glasses'

Content creators say they are facing a flood of negative comments for using Meta's smart glasses, which have been dubbed 'pervert glasses' over surveillance concerns.
Oliver Hooson filmed himself making a flat white coffee for a fellow cycling enthusiast during the Tour de France finale. After posting the footage on social media, comments included 'PERV' and 'Out here pushing creep glasses. The glasses, made by Facebook owner Meta, can record video while worn, sparking fears they are being used to film people, especially women, without consent and posting the footage online.
Creators say they have lost followers regardless of how the glasses are used. The backlash has been vicious despite the device being marketed as a must-have gadget. Hooson said: 'I've definitely lost followers.
