The Portland Fire Converted Rookie Guard Jordan Harrison's Developmental Contract to a Standard WNBA Contract, the Team Announced Sunday

Harrison played six games with the Fire before earning the promotion, which came after the team suspended Luisa Geiselsöder's contract for the rest of the season. Across those six games, Harrison averaged 5.5 points, 3.8 assists and two rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game. On Saturday, she posted career highs in points (13), rebounds (7) and assists (6) against the Seattle Storm, playing 28 minutes — her most in a single game this season.

Before that, she had not logged more than 13 minutes in a game. Her increased role followed guard Carla Leite suffering a knee sprain in the first quarter.
