Türkiye: Islamic Union Hails Turkey-saudi-pakistan Pact As Step Toward Unity and Independence of Islamic World

In a written statement, the union cited Quranic verses commanding unity and solidarity, saying the agreement would strengthen the Islamic ummah against common threats. The union expressed hope that the agreement would not remain limited to military and security fields but evolve into institutional cooperation covering political, economic, social, scientific, and development areas. The statement highlighted the strategic weight of the three nations coming together: Saudi Arabia with its religious, historical, political, and economic weight; Turkey with its political, military, industrial, and economic power; and Pakistan with its military competence and strategic position are complementary forces in the Islamic world.

Their joint action will form a solid core for the unity and cooperation of the ummah. Noting that signing the agreement on August 7 in Mecca under the shadow of the Masjid al-Haram carried deep spiritual and symbolic meaning, the union thanked Saudi authorities for hosting.
