China's Top Epidemiologist: AI Cannot Replace Doctors

China's leading medical expert and epidemiologist, Zhong Nanshan, said on Tuesday that artificial intelligence (AI) cannot replace doctors, as patients need human empathy and judgment. He emphasized that while AI can assist in diagnosis and data analysis, the doctor-patient relationship relies on trust and personalized care that technology cannot fully replicate.
