In Şanlıurfa Specifically, 13,429 Units Were Delivered: 10,914 Homes, 2,495 Village Houses and 20 Workplaces

Turkey's Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change shared images of disaster housing built in Şanlıurfa on its social media account, with the note homes worthy of Şanlıurfa's tomorrows. The post stated that after the Feb. 6, 2023 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, the ministry's Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), Urban Transformation Presidency, Emlak Konut GYO and General Directorate of Construction Works are carrying out construction at 3,481 sites across 174 areas in 11 provinces.
It noted that the area under construction is equivalent to the size of Lithuania by population and Bulgaria or Iceland by surface area. The post said that in the earthquake zone, a total of 455,357 independent units were completed and delivered in two years, including 367,995 homes, 65,672 village houses and 21,690 workplaces. In Şanlıurfa specifically, 13,429 units were delivered: 10,914 homes, 2,495 village houses and 20 workplaces.
