🇬🇧 United KingdomUnited Kingdom: Passengers Affected by Baggage Problems Are Still Without Luggage

Hundreds of passengers were left without their luggage after problems at Birmingham Airport. Travellers have described struggling to enjoy their holidays, days after hundreds of people flying out of Birmingham Airport were left without their luggage. While it seems the issues that first emerged on Friday are yet to be remedied completely, the airport said the "vast majority" of baggage was now travelling as planned with passengers, and it was working to reunite others with their luggage.
Louise Fenton said she and her family had had no communication from the airline, holiday company or the airport after their luggage failed to arrive in Gran Canaria on Friday. She is travelling with three teenagers, and said her daughter, who is autistic, had "struggled enormously" with replacement clothes, and had "barely slept because she is unable to tolerate the alternatives". We are staying in a tourist area where the shops are predominantly beach shops, with very limited clothing options, particularly for someone with sensory sensitivities, the mum explained.
