Türkiye: Hot Weather Will Persist Across Most of Turkey in the New Week, While Showers Are Expected in the Northern and Eastern Regions

The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued a yellow-code rain warning for Samsun and its surroundings for Monday. On Monday, showers and thunderstorms are expected in the eastern Marmara, the Black Sea region, and northern Eastern Anatolia. Local rains are also forecast in the Taurus Mountains area of the Mediterranean region.

On Tuesday, precipitation will affect the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia. Local showers are also expected in northern Istanbul, Kocaeli, and inland Antalya. On Wednesday, rain will continue along the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts, with local showers in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and parts of Eastern Anatolia.

Temperatures will generally be around or slightly above seasonal norms, with a decrease expected in eastern areas from the start of the week. In Ankara, partly cloudy skies will prevail for three days with a high of 32°C (90°F). Istanbul expects thunderstorms on Monday with a high of 31°C (88°F). Izmir will see sunny and hot weather with a high of 37°C (99°F).
