🇬🇧 United KingdomUnited Kingdom: Cunningham Hit the Ground But Got Up to Confront Carrington Before Teammates Separated Them

Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington was ejected from her team's WNBA loss to the Indiana Fever in Chicago after committing a hard foul, then posted "white privilege" on social media. Carrington caught Fever guard Sophie Cunningham across the left side of the head with her arm as Cunningham attempted a right-handed layup late in the opening quarter. Cunningham hit the ground but got up to confront Carrington before teammates separated them.
The foul was upgraded to a flagrant two after review, and Carrington was automatically ejected after scoring eight points in four minutes off the bench. Shortly after leaving the game, Carrington wrote "WHITE PRIVILIGE" on Threads, tagging Indiana Fever. After her team won 90-86, Cunningham said: "I think the league is taking care of that.
This has nothing to do with race. Last year, I did the same thing and I got kicked out, and I deserved to be kicked out. There's no reason even to play that card.
Sky coach Tyler Marsh said: "I have to get back to you on that because I'm just now hearing about that. So yeah, we'll handle that. Cunningham added: Clearly, I think it was unnecessary.
