United States in 2022 As One of Three Leaders of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, With a $5 Million Reward Offered for His Arrest

Suspected Irish crime gang boss Daniel Kinahan has been extradited from Dubai to Ireland, where he was handed over to authorities, state media reported.
Kinahan, arrested in Dubai in April, was named by the United States in 2022 as one of three leaders of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, with a $5 million reward offered for his arrest. An Irish government jet departed from Casement aerodrome in Baldonnel, Dublin, on Saturday morning and, according to The Times, has left the United Arab Emirates and is due to arrive in Ireland this evening. The extradition follows months of preparations and is described as one of the biggest security operations the Irish government has ever launched, with snipers on roofs, bomb-proof vans for transportation, decoy vans, and signal jammers in prison ceilings deployed for his trial. Kinahan, in his late 40s and a Dublin boxing promoter, was detained on foot in April after an Irish court issued an arrest warrant over alleged serious organised crime, including drug and firearms offences.
