Nigeria Unveils 2026 Environmental Regulations With Plastic Waste Controls

Nigeria's Federal Government has unveiled the National Environmental (Plastic Waste Control) Regulations 2026, mandating manufacturers, importers, brand owners, recyclers and other stakeholders to comply with new requirements for the production, importation, use and disposal of plastic products. The regulations aim to reduce plastic pollution and promote sustainable waste management practices across the country.
