🇮🇳 IndiaL&t Confident of Winning More Orders From West Asia
Larsen & Toubro posted a 14 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at ₹4,123 crore in Q1FY27, driven by stable performance in its energy and realty businesses, lower finance costs, and treasury income. The company bagged ₹1.08 lakh crore worth of orders across segments, a growth of 14 per cent over the previous year.
The company is confident of winning more orders from West Asia despite geopolitical uncertainties. Revenue growth, however, was slower as its projects were impacted by supply chain disruptions caused by the West Asia crisis. Revenue in Q1FY27 rose 7 per cent to ₹67,942 crore on a year-on-year basis.
EBITDA declined 3 per cent to ₹6,116 crore, and margins were lower because of execution challenges and project mix. The financial year has commenced against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainties. The company has managed to maintain momentum by rotating its focus across sectors and geographies while maintaining robust cash flows. The performance for the quarter reflects our portfolio resilience, said SN Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director.
