Coventry City Have Signed Ghana Midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi From Danish Club Nordsjaelland in a £26M Deal

The 20-year-old, who attracted interest from other Premier League and European clubs, has committed to a long-term contract with the newly promoted Premier League side. Yirenkyi was named the Danish Superliga's young player of the year last season and also made the division's team of the year. He made over 50 appearances for Nordsjaelland and has played 15 times for Ghana, featuring in all four of their World Cup matches.
He scored Ghana's equaliser in a pre-tournament friendly against Wales, netted the winner in the group opener against Panama, and played the full game in the goalless draw with England. Yirenkyi becomes Frank Lampard's sixth summer signing, taking Coventry's spending to over £85m. On joining, Yirenkyi said: I'm excited to be at this club. I've heard so much about it and I really feel positive about being here.
When I spoke to the head coach about the plans and the style, it's something I really like, and I look forward to learning from him. I want to give my best to the team each and every day. I'm still young so I want to learn from the head coach, the other players and work really hard for the team. I've also heard a lot about the fans, they're incredible and I can't wait to play in front of them.
