🇹🇷 TurkeyKadıkalesi Accepted As Unesco World Heritage Candidate

The provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate said the site was accepted under the dossier Fortified and Walled Settlements from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea on the Genoese Trade Route. Recognized for its archaeological value, strategic location, and rich cultural heritage, Kadıkalesi is now a key candidate for Turkey's world heritage. Excavations at the site continue under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suna Çağaptay of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University's Art History Department.
