Senator Jaques Wagner's Federal Police Testimony Postponed at Defense's Request

The postponement was requested because technical problems prevented full access to the investigation's content, as stated by the senator's lawyer, Pablo Domingues. The senator will only provide clarifications after reviewing the case file. The investigation, part of Operation Compliance Zero, examines Wagner's relationship with businessman Augusto Lima, identified by investigators as a link between the senator and the Banco Master case.

The Federal Police also investigates suspicions of undue advantages and possible ties between people close to the senator and companies related to the case. The postponement request stems exclusively from the fact that the defense has not yet been granted access to the investigation's content due to technical problems (all documented), requested at the same time the date was set, nearly a month ago, the senator's defense lawyer said. The defense maintains that Wagner intends to testify but only after accessing what is actually being investigated. Summoned by the Federal Police on July 21, the senator denies any wrongdoing.
