Take-two's GTA 6 Presales Drive $1.39B Quarterly Revenue
Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive drew $1.39 billion in sales from April 1-June 30, the quarter during which it opened presales for Grand Theft Auto 6, even as the company's losses widened.
During a call with analysts later Friday, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said "GTA 6" had an "exceptional start to pre-orders, which were open" during the quarter. The company reported the sales figure alongside its fiscal first-quarter earnings, noting that the strong presales helped offset wider net losses compared to the same period last year.
