Ne-yo Sued After Dog Allegedly Bites Delivery Woman

Grammy-winning R&B star Ne-Yo has been sued for negligence by a woman who claims his dog "viciously attacked" her while she delivered a package to his home in Alpharetta, Georgia, outside Atlanta. Plaintiff Dominique Bridgett alleges the dog lunged and bit her leg on July 12, 2025, without provocation. She claims Ne-Yo, legally named Shaffer Chimere Smith, knew the dog had a history of aggression but failed to restrain it as required by leash and animal-control laws. The lawsuit seeks damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other losses.
