When musician Frederick Teiko Ofori died in a traffic accident, his family chose to honor his life by burying him in a coffin shaped like a giant guitar, which drew attention at his funeral in Adjen Kotoku Amoama, on the outskirts of Accra. Fishermen are buried in oversized fish or canoes, farmers in cocoa pods, drivers in cars, and religious figures in Bibles. Ofori left behind a young family, including a baby born just a week before his funeral.
