🇹🇷 TürkiyeBar Association President Abdulhamit Çakan Said the Three Victims — Şanzime Sarıgül, Emine Yani, and Lawyer Gülsüm Öztekin
A fire that killed three people and injured nine others at a sports center in Batman, Turkey, on the evening of August 30 originated from an electrical panel near the sauna, according to the head of the local bar association.
The blaze then spread to other areas of the facility in the Gültepe neighborhood. Bar Association President Abdulhamit Çakan said the three victims — Şanzime Sarıgül (44), Emine Yani (42), and lawyer Gülsüm Öztekin Tunç (43), a mother of two — all died from smoke inhalation, with no burn-related deaths or serious injuries.
