Man Rescued After 2 Days Trapped Near Historic Titus Tunnel

The man, identified only as A.A., a resident of the Kapısuyu neighborhood in Samandağ, had driven his car to the area near the ancient tunnel. While walking around the Titus Tunnel, he lost his balance and fell. Having left his phone in his vehicle, A.A. remained trapped in the tunnel for two days.

When his family could not reach him, gendarmerie teams launched a search operation. Following the search, the man was found and rescued, then handed over to medical teams. After receiving initial medical attention, he was taken to a hospital as a precaution, and his condition was reported to be good.
