A man accused of choking and hitting his wife, pouring cooking oil on her and trying to set her on fire has sworn to stay away from their home for three years.
He gave the sworn undertaking to the emergency domestic violence court at Dolphin House, Dublin, on Friday, when the woman's application for a three-year barring order was before the court.
