Feijóo Tells PP Members Change Is Closer But Not Done

Speaking at a shared event in Getafe, Feijóo told Popular Party (PP) members that change is getting closer, but it is not done, and they cannot think that everything will fall like forbidden fruit. The PP leader recalled that in 2023 the party went to the polls convinced change was within reach, only to fall short of La Moncloa.

Feijóo urged the party to maintain tension until the ballot and warned that the PP's current electoral advantage must not become relaxation. He set out a goal of winning the municipal, regional and, above all, general elections with a sufficient majority to govern alone and prevent Vox, which he said is growing stronger, from holding the key to the executive. Feijóo also attacked the government over the migration crisis in Ceuta, accusing it of being "hostile with the invaded and docile with the invaders" and denouncing the abandonment of Spain's borders.
