🇮🇷 IranThe Guard Also Reported Attacks on Three Additional Ships in Other Areas
Iran's Revolutionary Guard naval forces said they attacked three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming the vessels were traveling on unauthorized routes, according to a statement released this evening. The Guard also reported attacks on three additional ships in other areas. The announcement came after the U.S. military said it had struck three Iranian oil tankers in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
The U.S. Central Command (Centcom) said the strikes were in response to a Revolutionary Guard attack using ballistic missiles against two U.S. warships patrolling the waters. The three Iranian crude tankers are part of a billion-dollar shadow network that finances the Revolutionary Guard and its regional proxies, according to the U.S. military.
