Woman, 98, Completes Wing-walk to Mark Birthday and Raise Funds

The feat, captured on video, was part of a charity event. Bromage, who got the idea from a chocolate bar, completed the stunt over the wing of a touring aircraft, performing loops and rotations while strapped to the upper wing. She has done six wing-walks in the past decade and plans to return for her 100th birthday in two years.

The event raised funds for the neurovascular unit at Cheltenham General Hospital, which treated her after a heart attack a year earlier. The pilot signaled before maneuvers, and Bromage confirmed with a thumbs-up. She said she 'hates the idea of lying in bed doing nothing.
