OpenAI will let free and Go tier ChatGPT users have unlimited text chats starting next week, removing current rate limits for text-only messages. File uploads and image messages will still be limited. The company is also adding a “Think” button for those users to access higher reasoning for harder questions. This week, OpenAI is upgrading ChatGPT’s default model to GPT-5.6 Luna for free and Go users, while Plus and Pro subscribers get an updated GPT-5.6 Sol model and a new slider.
