Real Madrid Sign Ivory Coast Winger Yan Diomande From RB Leipzig for Club-record Fee

Real Madrid have signed Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for a reported club-record fee of 140 million euros including add-ons.
The 19-year-old, who played at the World Cup with his country, has agreed to a deal until June 30, 2033. Madrid beat Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool to the signing, with PSG withdrawing over the fee and Liverpool having a bid rejected in June. Diomande, the Bundesliga Young Player of the Season, scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in his sole season with Leipzig after joining from Leganes in 2025. He is Madrid's sixth preseason signing, following Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Espi, as the club overhauls its squad under new coach Jose Mourinho after two trophy-less seasons. Madrid have also been linked with Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
