Managed Connections for Slack and Teams Are Available Through Copilotkit Intelligence, With More Channels Planned
CopilotKit has released Channels, an open-source SDK that connects AG-UI-compatible AI agents to Slack and Microsoft Teams with native, interactive UI. The agent retains its tools, model, and business logic while understanding conversations, streaming responses, calling tools, working with files, rendering interactive UI, and pausing for human approval. Managed connections for Slack and Teams are available through CopilotKit Intelligence, with more channels planned.
Developers can set up via a CLI or a hosted guide, which installs a skill that fetches the latest workflow from copilotkit.ai/channels-guide.md. The setup requires Node.js 22 or later and a long-running Node process. The SDK is MIT licensed, and CopilotKit Intelligence can be self-hosted for enterprise deployments. OpenTag, an open-source on-call triage assistant built with Channels, serves as a reference application.
