Womack Sisters Join Family Music Legacy

Their parents were Womack & Womack, their uncle Bobby Womack was a superstar, and their grandfather was Sam Cooke. After years of driving Ubers, running a marijuana dispensary, and being told soul was dead, they joined the family business. Their father, Cecil Womack, wrote Teddy Pendergrass's Love TKO and hits for the O'Jays, the Four Tops, and Patti LaBelle.

Their mother, Linda Womack, is Sam Cooke's daughter. The sisters grew up traveling the world, appearing on their parents' album covers and opening their shows. Despite their father's insistence on music as the only career, they moved to Los Angeles to explore other paths, facing setbacks like getting fired from jobs.

Now, they've embraced their heritage, crafting their sound from the heart. "You don’t feel anything on stage, says one sister, "but you feel everything when you sing.
