Tuberville Says He Knows Nothing About Mcconnell's Condition
Senator Tommy Tuberville said he has no information about Mitch McConnell's health, telling The Independent's Nicholas Ballsay, I don't know anything.
Tuberville, 71, made the comment on Tuesday. McConnell, 84, remains hospitalized and in rehab after a June fall that left him briefly unconscious, plus a bout of pneumonia. Tuberville, who lives next door to McConnell, said, "He's still in the hospital, I mean doing rehab.
In late July, Tuberville pushed for video evidence of McConnell's condition, saying "somebody needs to come out and put a little video out. McConnell's office has released only brief statements and a photo, showing him upright and smiling, but has not provided a full medical update. Tuberville reiterated that some Senate business may be delayed because Republicans lack votes, including confirming Todd Blanche as attorney general.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has also demanded more evidence McConnell can serve until his term ends in January 2027.
