Persimmon Plans 12,500 New Homes by Year-end

The FTSE 100 firm now plans to complete 12,500 new homes by year-end, at the upper end of its previous guidance. Pre-tax profits rose 15% to £168m in the first half, with home completions up 13%. The company warned of additional inflationary pressure in 2027 due to the Middle East conflict, and has taken management actions to secure cost savings.
Separate data from S&P Global showed UK construction confidence rose last month on hopes of a domestic rebound. Persimmon remains well-placed to drive further growth through our unique set of capabilities, the company said.
