Kurum: Damage Assessment Completed in 5 Fire-hit Cities

Turkish Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum announced that damage assessment has been completed in five provinces affected by forest fires.
In a social media post, Kurum said, "We completed damage assessment in our 5 cities affected by forest fires. He added that in Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir and Mersin, 92 independent units were identified as heavily damaged or destroyed. "As always, we will stand by our nation and quickly heal the wounds.
Our condolences to all citizens, he stated. According to data shared by Kurum, 43 units in Muğla, 20 in Antalya, 20 in Aydın, 6 in Balıkesir and 3 in Mersin were heavily damaged or destroyed, with 58 of the 92 units being residences. Deputy Minister Ömer Bulut inspected affected areas in Antalya's Kumluca district Yazır neighborhood and Muğla's Seydikemer district Bayır, Çatak, Dereköy and Sarıyer neighborhoods, then listened to citizens' demands and briefed Kurum by phone. Kurum assured citizens that the state stands with them with all its means, as in other disasters.
